Slow Leak Bluegrass Band

I was born and raised in Trenton, Missouri and started playing the guitar at approx. age 14. The First guitar that I could get my hands on for any length of time, was an old Gibson Hummingbird belonging to one of my many mentors Earl Hill.

Music has been and still is a big part of my life. I started playing throughout high school and college with a group based out of Trenton "Makin' Dew". It was the perfect set up for a high school/college age guy growing up in a small town (we got to pick, travel, and got paid to do so!!!)

I currently play the electric bass in a Country dance band "Rochelle and Strictly Country" playing gigs around North West Missouri as well as the Santa Rosa Opry on Friday nights. I enjoy playing the bass and Country Music along with other genres but my heart and soul is still in Bluegrass. I have only been picking at the mandolin and bass for a couple of years now and still have a lot to learn about it (maybe that's why I'm to temperamental about practicing).

I enjoy the company of the rest of the band members (whom are all talented in their own ways from being the Den Mother "Bob", song writers/singers "Travis, Sean and even Jack", although Jack aka "the king of the weed eater" is usually the butt of most of our jokes).

I had been an active Firefighter/Paramedic since 1982 and until about 5 years ago when I went to work for the State of Missouri and am still in the field. So let me say to everyone out there, Be Safe and thanks for checking out our site!!!
