| Slow Leak Bluegrass Band Sean ClearyResonator Guitar, Guitar, Vocals
Sean began playing guitar 1994 while attending college. He started playing blues, country and classic rock. Influenced by a friend who played blues, Sean began playing guitar seriously in 1997 and playing in bands in the Columbia area. After college while working in northern Illinois, he started experimenting with the open G (DGDGBD) tuning like Keith Richards, Rich Robinson and Eric Clapton. Realizing that this was a similar tuning used in bluegrass (GBDGBD) he began playing along with local NPR bluegrass shows on the radio. After maxing out this tuning on a round-necked guitar, Sean purchased a square-necked Crafters of Tennessee dobro in June of 2003. Since then he has played with a couple of other bluegrass/folk groups and joined Slow Leak in July of 2004.
